Jesus tells us, “I go to prepare a place for you.” We believe in Jesus’ promise that He has prepared a place for each of us. He welcomes our loved ones home while we await His final coming. At St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, we believe in the sanctity of the human body, the resurrection and eternal life. We are dedicated to the respectful care of the People of God, who even in death remain a part of the entire Christian community. Because of this, we provide a sacred place of faith, hope and comfort. Here, our beloved enter the Resurrection to everlasting joy. Charged by Christ and His Church, St. Joseph Cemetery was established in 1878 to:
- Serve the People of God in the name of the Bishop of Columbus.
- Affirm the Church’s faith and belief in the hope of the Resurrection.
- Provide blessed grounds for the interment and inurnment of deceased members of the Body of Christ in the time of need.
- Provide qualified and caring cemetery staff to assist families with immediate need or advanced need arrangements.
- Provide an environment appropriate for the celebration of the burial rites of the Church, for prayer and visitation focused on the Resurrection.
